Purpose:
    Adhere to Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory and the important thought of the "Three Represents" as the guide; adhere to the Party's basic line; adhere to building socialism with Chinese characteristics; adhere to taking economic construction as the center; adhere to the idea that science and technology are the primary productive force; unite and mobilize science and technology workers to carry forward past achievements and keep pace with the times; focus on the ** task of accelerating the **ment of an innovative and harmonious park; work toward the goal of building a moderately prosperous society in all respects; implement the strategy of invigorating the district through science and education and the strategy of sustainable **ment; vigorously accelerate scientific and technological progress; promote the prosperity and **ment of science and technology, the popularization and promotion of science and technology, the growth and **ment of scientific and technical talents, and the integration of science and technology with the economy; and serve the construction of socialist material civilization, political civilization and spiritual civilization.
   Tasks:
    Carry out academic exchanges, enliven academic thinking and promote disciplinary **ment. Promote the connection and integration between disciplines, and the combination of natural science, technical science and social science. Popularize scientific and technical k**ledge, advocate scientific methods, spread scientific thought, promote the scientific spirit, and promote advanced technologies. Reflect the opinions of science and technology workers, safeguard their legitimate rights and interests, and serve science and technology workers.
