Case of Shutting Down an Underground Production and Processing Workshop in Lufeng **, Guangdong Province

Following a tip-off, our company discovered that a production and processing workshop in Lufeng **, Guangdong Province was suspected of manufacturing and processing counterfeit "Panasonic" sensor doors.
In May 2017, our staff went to the destination, submitted complaint materials to the case-handling authorities and briefed them on the target counterfeit storage and sales site. The person in charge immediately reported the situation to his superiors, and the matter drew the attention of leadership. After discussion and based on the actual situation of the counterfeit manufacturing and sales site, the enforcement authorities took immediate action and set out for the target site at noon the same day.

That afternoon, after a period of waiting, the enforcement officers successfully entered the premises and found on site what was clearly a counterfeit production site for door control products of multiple brands. The site was piled with complete finished sensor doors bearing counterfeit "Panasonic" **s, sensor door controllers, hangers and other components, as well as packaging boxes for sensor door products, instruction manuals, tape and other counterfeit items. A large quantity of door control products bearing other brand logos was also found on site. As the goods inside were numerous and messy, our personnel could only make a preliminary distinction and inventory by brand and product type. The enforcement officers seized all the items involved in the case on site and transported them to a public storage warehouse for off-site sealing, and the raid was temporarily concluded.

Meanwhile, through long-term surveillance, our company found that the source of the counterfeit goods at this target was linked to four online stores. During the raid, we observed that all product links and web pages of three of the four stores had already been deleted.

The next afternoon, our staff again visited the enforcement department to take a second inventory of the seized items involved in the case. According to the tally, the seizure totaled 32 sets of counterfeit "Panasonic" sensor door devices, 83 counterfeit sensors, 8 counterfeit control devices, 110 counterfeit hangers, ** rolls of counterfeit tape, 1 counterfeit mold and 1 box of counterfeit manuals (about 2,000 sheets). A batch of counterfeit door control products of other brands, such as floor springs and door clamps, was also seized on site. The case is still under further investigation and evidence collection.
